Simon Faithfull's recent work has demonstrated an infatuation with the digital pixel. Used as a totem of everything that technology is not supposed to be, the pixels laid down in his Palm Pilot drawings create images on the point of disappearing rather than capturing reality in high resolution.

For his Tristero residency, Faithfull collaborated with programmer Peter Edwards to create the software Image-Klenz. Visitors to Tristero could submit their unwanted image files directly to Image-Klenz without the need to subscribe to Tristero.
